Why are there required fields? I don't require these in my practice.

While TherapyCharts can be used by anyone, we originally designed the system for small or solo private pay practices. We've tried to keep the required fields to a minimum to satisfy legal, ethical, and procedural best practices. Therefore, the field is required by either a law, ethical requirements, or best practices. If you think your practice falls into some exception, you could use the field to collect individualized data. We hope you see this not as an inconvenience but as a strength of TherapyCharts -- helping mental health workers stay up-to-date with the legal, ethical, and other best practices.
