Google Chrome will not download documents

Problem

When using Google Chromium web browser, one user has reported the documents in the document manager will not download.

Cause

While the technology team has not been able to replicate this problem, and has NOT identified the built in pop-up blocker as the cause, the effected user has suggested the following steps worked to resolve the issue for them.

Solution

When downloading in this browser a single click on the download button should download the document. If it does not the user reported that enabling popups for TherapyCharts domain solved the problem, by:

1. click the Wrench menu icon

2. select settings to open the settings tab

3. select show advanced settings link (at the bottom of the tab)

4. under Privacy sub-section click Content settings

5. look at the Pop-ups sub-section on the dialog box

6. the default is usually "Do not allow any site to show pop-ups"

7. choose "Manage exceptions..." under the Pop-ups area

8. add "https://[*.]secure.therapycharts.com:443" with behavior "Allow" to the list in the "Pop-up exceptions dialog box"

9. click ok
