Common Printing Errors

Verify Permissions

Verify that you have access to the information. Generally, if you can view the information when you are logged into your account it will display on the screen. If you do not have permission the button that opens the form will be grayed out. If the button is grayed out, you may need to speak to your clinic administrator to update your permissions. If you are the clinic administrator you may update your permissions through the user management tab in configuration.

The same holds true for printing the information in the form. If the print button, located in the second navigation row, is grayed out then it is likely your account does not have print permissions.

Internet Browser Settings

When documents "print" in TherapyCharts we try to download a copy of the file to your computer. Some internet settings like pop up blockers, security settings, and download settings may prevent your download. There are specific instructions for each of the internet browser's settings located in the FAQ. In general for the printing engine to work correctly you should: make sure that our site is on your trusted list, that you accept pop ups from our site, and that the system will either open or display downloaded documents as they complete.

Proper Software Installed

Depending on your configuration, the system will download information in either a pdf, doc, or odt format. If you have it set up to download a pdf please make sure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed. If you have it set up to download a doc please make sure that you have a valid installation of Microsoft Word installed. If you have it set up to download a odt please make sure that you have the latest version of Open Office installed.
